It can be hard to find someone to remove your old spa pool gas heater and re-plumb with a new Astral Pool HX 120 Nat or LPG spa heater. We just finish one job this morning. Spa City Spas removed the old spa heater and rusted base and re plumbed the total system to suit the new Astral Pool HX 120 unit. I have included some old photo before and after shots, these may be on interest to some that have similar situation. The first photo shows the old spa heater this unit is about 20 years old. The next is the finish job showing how we re plumbed all pipe work and made it more well clean looking with the pipe work now at the back of the units and the old rusted steel base gone.

Also we supplied a new Duel Air switch time clock which you can see on the back wall.

There are a lot of portable spas on offer from all sorts of avenues, like one spa shop advertising on TV with offers of up to 40% off.  Our reports from people that have come into our Showroom after visiting this store found it very disappointing to find that their prices where still higher than ours. You will need to shop around and check your prices before putting money on a product thinking that you are saving lots when in fact your not. Those that search will find as the saying goes. There now are only three main Manufacturers in Australia making portable spa pools. These are all in Melbourne and we deal with 2 of them. You will find as you go shopping some spa shops will tell you that they are made here – ask them who is the manufacturer. The 3 main Manufacturers are – Impact Bathroom Industries, Sapphire Spas and Spa Industries which are now owned by Chinese interests – this range is normally sold through the Just Spas dealers. If they are not any of the above then they will be from Overseas and NOT Australian Made and in some cases not Australian approved.

All Australian Made spas are certified to the Australian Standards. They will be most likely using Australian Spa Equipment and Spa Hard covers will be made here but not in all cases.

Over the past few months there has been a huge increase in our inquiries for the Plunge pool and spa both the Jazz 700 and Jazz 750. Both as a stand alone unit and as in ground installation.

The most popular way of  heating  operation is by the Astral Pool Spa & Pool gas heater being the HX 120 or the HiNRG 175  this being a little more expensive. Gas heating will enable all year use of your pool at a reasonable cost.  Our current Special say for the Jazz 700 Plunge Pool Spa with the following equipment supplied loose – Hx 12o Pool Heater, 1.5 Hp high performance pump, ZX Series cartridge filter 100 sf,Duel air switch control with time clock, Salt Chlorinator,LED light and transformer and Hardcover you will be looking at under $16000.00 including GST. If you would like the Swim Jets and Swim Pumps add $4000.00 to your budget.

Others costs to consider are the following – these are estimates only and gives you an idea of budget costs you should allow for – Council Permits $1400.00. Digging hole,concrete slab,installation and connection of spa and pool equipment $6000.00. Gas connection $1000.00. Electrical $700.00. Pool fencing – Glass varies from 2000.00 to 5000.00 depends on the length and then you need to allow for Landscaping.

You will need around $25000.00 to $30000.00 for a budget. Some of our Clients have carried out the above work themselves and come out around the $20000.00.
