The 2 main things that are needed to maintain a healthy and sparkling spa pool or hot tub are –

1-  A good filtration system with clean filters. 2 – The appropriate specialised spa pool chemicals.

Spa City Spas use Perxosil 395 Sanitiser chlorine free in our Swim Spas and Portable Spa Pools and we have make up a Help List which we use for all our own spas.

This is used along with the Waterco Spa Poppits Perxosil – sheets 1 and 2.

This project has only just been handed over to our Client in Doreen by Spa City Spas. Our Client ordered the Plunge Pool Spa mid September. Permit application was arranged and the approval  came in very quickly and Spa City Spas where able to start digging mid October. I have up loaded some photos of the different stages of the project.

Day 1 – Spa City Spas installation team members finished digging the hole and removal of soil and where ready for pool delivery by 1.00 pm. The Plunge Pool was delivered and placed in           position by 2 pm while making sure that we had the right height and levels.

Day 2 – Spa City Spas installation team members carry out backing filling and spa and pool pipe work. All our installation is done with Crush a Dust and Cement – Spa City Spas do not use sand.

Day 3 – Spa City Spas install team still on site and completing back fill and filling of Plunge Pool and Spa. This is backed filled to jet levels and left overnight for water testing for leaks.

Day 4 – Spa City Spas checked for leaks and finish back fill. Completed by midday.

Removal of soil from digging is extra cost and can only be arranged during the projects start our Client will be advised on costs as it is arranged – In this case we were to able to arrange for 3 trips of soil removal to a local site for around $250.00.

Spa City Installation work includes digging of the hole,back filling of Plunge Pool and connection of pipe work to the Spa and Pool equipment.

Saturday morning Spa City Spas member added Astral Pool ‘Acquatherepe’ Salt to pool water and did a water balance and tested operation of pool and equipment. Concrete and Pool Granite to Pool Edge  – $4600.00 

Glass Pool Fencing allow $300.00 per metre.   – 10 metre will cost $3000.00

*Our Client carried finished from with – the bond beam and tiling surround round pool and the exposed concrete finish – then the glass pool fencing. All up costs approx. $37,000.00

Spa City Spas are asked this question nearly all the time – How much will a Plunge Pool cost to place in my back yard? We can help you there with some idea of what costs you will be looking at.

Today we will look at a stand alone plunge pool and spa set up that has been completed at Rye Victoria. This is the finished project – picture taken during our handover and commissioning of pool.

First cost that we will look at is the Plunge Pool purchase – $18400.00. This included the following – the plunge pool which was plumbed with 2 Monster jets and 6 Turbo Spa jets. Led Caliodo light. 100 Sf skimmer box. Safety suctions and air buttons to operate the 2 pumps and the Led light. As a stand alone it had a Galvanised Support Frame. This all Australian Made. All Jets are supplied by an Australian Company named Edgetec Systems which Spa City Saps have been using for many years, Edgetec is now the only Aussie Made Jets that are actually made here in Australia. Led Light is made here in Australia and supplied by Astral Pool to us. Your skimmer box is by Davey Pumps. Delivery – Crane truck from $460.00 to $660.00 depends on distance and time. If you need to use a  Crane your cost will be around $1500.00. Street closures $2600.00.

Decking similar to this project  – Timber cost here was $3600.00  plus Labour. Labour on the above project was by our Client – so will will need to allow for this cost.

Electrical – 2 x double power points 10 Amp.  $500.00.  Gas connection for your Astral Pool Heater –  $500.00 – $1000.00
